Bad aim

Hi,
Our youngest beardie Desert (2yo) has really bad aim when it comes to worms and if she can’t get one within the first 3 strikes she won’t eat. She could catch a locust first time and blindfolded, no issue at all but not worms. Is there something wrong with her eyes or eye-mouth coordination?

Poor depth perception .... most beardies and skinks have wonderful colour vision but when something is inside certain distance they tend to :
>>> misjudge the distance and bump into it
>>> have lousey aim if it's small or skinny target prey item

Perfectly normal.
