I got my second beardie on October 10th. I got her from a family member and when I brought her home many didn't think she was going to survive. She had horrible MBD to the point where she could hardly hold her head up and only weighed a measly 6 grams. She had no UVB lighting on her since June when my cousin had adopted her. When I carried her into the petstore to buy her the UVB light the guy was very rude and told me she wouldn't live and even sold me a repti-glo bulb when I specifically asked for a repti-sun. Any ways here are two pictures from the day I brought her home.
She wouldn't eat and for at least a month I had to force her to eat baby food. After that she began slowly eating on her own and actually wanting to hunt but it was hard for her to chase down crickets and she would start shaking and loose interest. I switched her and my older beardie to reptiworms and they have both done so much better with the switch. I also feed them a combination of turnip, collard, dandelion greens, and blueberries. I will include a picture of her tank setup now.
So every since she begin eating on her own she has been making progress every day. She is up to 18 grams. She runs around every where, loves to wave. I will upload some recent pictures of her.
She is going threw her first full shed right now and I am so pleased with the progress she has made. I just wanted to share her story with everybody
