I picked up 3 rescues that were all in a 20 gallon together about a months ago. Separated the biggest dragon right away but left the 2 babies together while I got a 55 gallon split and ready. They were all eating well and gaining weight fast.
Tried to move them to the split 55 about a week ago. I kept the substrate the same, and the basking rocks and food dishes are the same, as well as their personal stuffed animal in with them too. Tried to make it as familiar as possible. The bigger baby was totally cool, and still is, eating fine and perfectly happy. The littlest freaked out. She was so scared that all she did was huddle in the corner and breathe heavy like she was having a panic attack. Would not eat, bask, nothing. The only difference was she originally had a mvb and the new tank had a hood with dual 24" reptisun tubes that made a light humming/buzzing noise.
I made her spend one night in there to see if she would calm down and she didn't. So I moved her back to the 40 gallon she had been in and made it the exact same as it was originally, only thing missing was the other dragon. She definitely calmed down right away, but really hasn't eaten since the relocation trauma. She will munch a little salad and do a little basking off and on, but spends most of the time sleeping under her unicorn or glass surfing. She does still poo normal, but not often due to not eating.
I don't want to force feed her unless I absolutely have to.... But she is losing weight and I need to do something. I don't believe this is a brumation thing, she is only a couple months old. I tried a soak in the tub, bringing her out for interaction, nothing works. Should I put the other dragon back with her? Is there anything else I can try? Should I be concerned? She is bright and active.
