baby only wants mealworms

well like it says. My baby only wants mealworm.. Im trying to get him to start eatin the dubia raoches i have and he does eat them once in a while.. maybe 7 a day. But anytime i put a mealworm in front of him he eats it. He really does not like to eat in a feeding bin either. Any tips?

Also when i first got him he was 6.5g and today i weighed him after his shed and after his morning poop. He is now 8g.

Mealworms really aren't good for them because of the hard outer shell. You could try waxworms mine loves them, but do in moderation because of how fatty they are. They mainly should be getting crickets or dubias everyday as the staple. I would keep offering him the dubia and stop offering the mealworms eventually he should start eating the dubias. Hope this helps.

My baby did this too. He started out on crickets then month later he only ate meal worms and occasionally calcium worms and some greens. I stopped the meal worms cause he was WAY too addicted and just offered him calcium worms and kept trying with crickets. It took him a bit but he loves his crickets again and I only feed him his meal worms as a treat now.

I would stop with the meal worms and try calcium or butter worms which are better for your beardie. I also think you should keep offering him crickets and I bet he will turn around, just give him time. The roaches are a good idea too, I was recommended to those buy them also. Hope he starts lovein those crickets again soon :mrgreen:
