We got our dragon a week ago today. First few days he only ate a few (10-15) baby dubia a day. The 3rd day we had him he completely shed, does this cause this not to eat as much? Anyway, this morning he chomped down on about 15 baby dubia for breakfast. Just a few minutes ago ago he ate 37! Is this ok? He will chase down the dubia babies, but he really likes to eat them off your finger. He doesn't seem to want to eat greens or squash. Is it normal for baby beardies not to want to eat the veggies?

Yep, baby beardies usually don't like eating their veggies. They don't really have to, but don't stop offering it regardless.

Shedding can lower their appetite, he probably also ate less due to relocation stress. And now that he's shed and a bit more comfortable, yeah, he can eat a whole lot of roaches.

It is the 36 x 18 x 18. I was going to get the 36x18x12, but when I went to buy it the bigger one was on sale and was actually cheaper than the smaller one.

Does this hood just sit on top of the 36x18x18 enclosure? Does it replace the wire top screen that came with the tank?

Caesar is adorable! That's great that he's settled in and eating well for you! Don't be surprised if he eats even more than that  They're pigs, especially as babies and juvies! Just to warn you, I'd be careful with hand-feeding him - they can get spoiled, and it's a real pain! You can try putting the dubia in a shallow bowl with steep sides that the dubias can't get out of, but Caesar can get into. He'll eventually realize that the food is always in that bowl. Like someone already said, keep offering the veggies, and eventually he'll eat them. Some tricks to try to get him to eat some of his veggies: put some of the dubia in the veggie dish so he sees the greens moving and tries them, drop greens in front of his face while he's hunting his dubia, or even just stir the greens around in their bowl with your finger. Beardies usually will eat anything that moves, so if you can make the greens move, he's more likely to try them.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
