Hi Im new to having a bearded dragon and was wondering, cause my baby is only I'd say a few weeks old, should I feed her in her vivarium or in a separate tank so its easy to find the food and find the crickets so I can take them out? Cause lately when I've been feeding her, (i've tried putting 3 crickets in the morning) in her vivarium and I cant tell if shes eaten them or theyre lost? Ive also had to take the back decor out because the crickets cleverly creep behind it and hide. So wondering what better ways are there for her to catch her food?

Also I got Bubba (her name) on friday and only today I actually saw her munch on a cricket, also I hand fed greens which she ate so progress!:D

Either one works. I understand some dragons won't eat in a different tank but, some will. I feed Slick in his tank. But he's kind of an eating machine and no cricket stands a chance! Lol! If he's small having him in a separate feeding tank may make it easier for him to catch them.

If your beardie is not actively going after the crickets when you drop them in - I would feed outside of its enclosure. In my case, I drop the crickets in one by one and watch my beardie eat them. When he stops, I only have to remove one cricket, but sitting there picking up a cricket a time with tweezers gets frustrating sometimes.

Hi there! I don't know where you're located but have you considered maybe another type of live feeder as a staple? We feed dubia roaches which can't escape the right bowl, though they're not legal everywhere. You could try Phoenix/repti/calciworms also as they can't escape a a good dry bowl either.

Just a suggestion. Keep us posted!!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
