Hi guys... 3 days ago (the 21st) I walked into a pet store for some crickets... and left with a beardie baby I couldn't leave him in that... There was no UVB in sight, he was on sand, no salad available, not even a basking spot, and missing the very end of his tail. Way too skinny. When I asked to hold him the guy in charge told me he hadn't fed him in TWO DAYS. He had no idea how old it was, or long it had been there. I'm thinking about 2 months, because at the reptile show I was at yesturday, there were one month old beardies who were definitely tinier.
Despite that, when I held the little guy (or girl... too young to tell) he was calm and super friendly... It was love. I had the tank all set up minus a UVB so I bought the bulb too. Since coming home with me it has pooed, eaten a ton, and basked a whoooole lot. In fast when I put salads in the cage he runs RIGHT over and immediately starts chomping.
Anyway, heres the little baby (sorry for the crappy cell phone quality, i'll get some better pics later on, i left my camera at a friends... oops)
this one is after what i assume was his first salad, and some crickets. still stressing about the new cage, but doing pretty well.
