Baby Beardie sleeping on my neck?

My 17 week old bearded dragon just jumped onto my shirt, crawled up onto my neck, scuffled about in place while burrowing her face around into my neck until she found just the right spot, then fell sound asleep. She's still there as I'm typing this. It's her bedtime-- she normally has lights out in her cage by 8pm when the sun goes down.

1) Is this normal? Has anyone seen this? Does this mean she's comfy with me, etc?

2) Is this ok or should I have stuck with the sleepy time routine at 8pm? I'd like her to stay and cuddle for an hour or so but I don't want to be selfish. LOL.

Aww thank you! She's still there now and every now and then when I type too much, she will burrow more deeply into my neck and then relax again when I stop typing. LOL!

Yup, that's a good sign. Definitely comfortable.

It's fine to let him sleep on you instead of in his viv. An hour isn't gonna hurt anything, and sleep is sleep. Wherever it is.

Thanks! She slept for about an hour and a half before I put her in her viv for the night, and she went back to sleep there with no issue. She doesn't do this with other household members, only with me. Now my husband and son are jealous! LOL!

How sweet, it's bonded to you. Every night at around 8:30 my 10 week old gives me the stink eye and waits at the glass for me to buckle under the pressure and come take her out so she can do the very same thing :lol: . It's cuddle time and it's a regular thing now.

my beardies do this whenever it is close to their bed time and they are out of their viv. Last night "Stubby" was trying to get comfortable and by doing so his scales and spike gave me a nice little rash that i woke up to this morning. haha.
