Baby Beardie Pooping

Hi I've had my baby Natsu for a few weeks now, and when I got him I was told he was a few months old. Well he made himself right at home and was very social and loved to interact. Well he didn't poop for the first couple days but then I started handling him more and he started to poop on me. It was cute the first couple times but now he ONLY poops on me. I've tried baths while rubbing his belly, I've tried leaving him in the tank until he poops, but he'll just start getting slower and not eating until I do take him out. I don't know what to do. Are there any tips to teach him to go in the tank or is this something that goes away in time?

That is a common issue with the little ones unfortunately. They don't like pooping in their enclosure if they can avoid it and when they are running around and active it often brings on a poop. It's tough to control this but it becomes much easier as they get older.

When they are older they tend to poop once a day (usually) or less. They respond well to routine so I set up a morning routine of breakfast and basking in the sunroom which has a vinyl floor that is easy to clean. My guys have their time in the sunroom while I get breakfast ready and they stay there (door closed) until they poop. It takes some time to get them used to the routine but if you do this regularly they learn to go and then they get time to roam around the house. Getting pooped on or poop inside the tank is a rarity after you have this routine down.
