Baby Beardie Not Eating Well

So he’s been eating much better the past few days. Today I found his favorite veggie (red pepper) and he has been going nuts on chunks of that all day. Any time he sees it in front of him he chomps it. He’s also been more active, exploring his viv more and actually moving to the cool side once in a while. He actually went in his hide last night for the first time at lights out, but he didn’t stay.

I’m not sure what I did to change his behavior but I’m no longer worried he’s going to starve. He’s developed a little belly in the last 2 days so I think he’s going to be just fine. Thanks for all the help!

Ok the red pepper may tinge his urate- red so I would cut back on that -- he needs greens - do you have the nutrition website- I am glad he's eating more now tho -- took him a while

I chopped up red pepper, cilantro, and mustard greens and he’s had a few pieces of the greens when they are close to a chunk of red pepper but he isn’t going directly for them.

You can put your bsfl in a cooler with a cold pack to keep them from pupating. We get ours to last a month or more that way.
