Baby Beardie Not Eating/ Moving Around Me

Hello, My New Baby Beardie (Thatch) has been in my home for 3 days now. He Allows Me To Pick Him Up And Pet Him In My Hand, He Will Even Fall Asleep There! But He Doesn't Like To Move In His Tank When I'm Looking And Hasn't Hunted Any Crickets By Himself (He Only Ate Them When They Walked To Him Or When I Catch The Crickets From His Tank For Him And Put Them On His Basking Rock While He's There)

What Can I Do To Help Him Trust Me Enough To Eat/ Move In Front Of Me?

Just give him some time. We’ve had our new guy (5 month old pet store beardie) for 2.5-3 weeks now and while he’s fine with me, he is still very cautious with my 20 month old son. Just continue being present, allow him to get used to you. It’ll come. Just be patient. Try to avoid hand feeding, they will being dependent on that and won’t feed by themselves at all. Good luck!!
