Well this is typically due to inadequate UVB lighting and temperature zones...They develop a Calcium deficiency very quickly without a strong, adequate UVB tube that is mounted correctly and within the correct distance from their Basking Spot, and they cannot function or digest any food at all unless they have a VERY SPECIFIC AND EXACT Temperature gradient within their tank, which is impossible to get in a 10 gallon tank. They are Desert Reptiles and need 13-14 hours every day of strong
UVB light and a bright-white colored Basking Bulb right alongside it, both lights over the Hot Side of the tank, sharing the top of the Hot Side of the tank, and the bright-white colored Basking Bulb must be the correct wattage to put their Basking Spot Surface Temperature right between 105-110 degrees F exactly!
So lets start by posting some photos of the dragon, and then also of the entire tank showing your light set-up...Then you need to answer these questions exactly so that we can help you get the correct lights, thermometer, and diet...By the way, what live insects are you feeding her?
-What substrate do you have in the bottom of the tank?
-EXACTLY what
UVB light do you have, meaning Brand, Wattage, and Type (is it a Compact, Coil, or long Tube)? If it's a long Tube, what strength is it (T8 or T5)? THIS INFORMATION IS PRINTED RIGHT ON THE LIGHT ITSELF...
-Do you have the
UVB light sitting on top of a mesh lid or strapped underneath the mesh lid?
-How far away, in inches, is your
UVB light from her basking spot/platform?
-What color of light does your Basking Bulb emit? What wattage is it?
-What type of Thermometer are you using to measure her 3 temperature zones (Stick-On, Digital Probe, or Gun)?
-What is the #1) Cool Side Air/Ambient Temperature, #2) Hot Side Air/Ambient Temperature, #3) Basking Spot SURFACE Temperature?
-What is her regular daily diet (what live insects do you feed her daily? What fresh greens and veggies)?
-How many days do you give her a Calcium powder? A Multivitamin powder?
She's most likely starting to suffer from a combination of a Calcium Deficiency and the start of MBD from a lack of
UVB light, and then not being in the correct temperature zones causes all types of issues as well. You must be extremely specific with a Dragon's lights and temps, and how you have them set-up, because they are Desert Reptiles that are built to live under bright, natural, direct sunlight all day long, every day.
A vet may not be necessary as if you correct the equipment/issues they usually will bounce back pretty quickly, but you will probably need to return some things and spend money on a proper, long UVB tube and fixture at the very least...And realize that until they are a year old they eat tons and tons of live insects every single day, usually between 40-60 live insects every day, so most people order them in bulk online. And insects like mealworms and wax worms are not appropriate.
Once you answer the questions we can definitely help you out.
