I recently acquired my second bearded dragon since my first has brought me so much joy. I have been keeping him in my 35gallon breeder 75F cool side 104-110 basking 85-90 on hot side reptisun 10 running 3/4 length. I think a bout of cold weather and his location may have given him an RI. I am boosting his temps and will place a spare CHE to try and hold his tank at 80F overnight. The soonest i can get him to my herp vet is the 20th of april. Aside from boosting his temps is there anything I can do to raise his chances? He's been popping and seems to be trying to swallow some mucus. He is very small only a few grams and is about 5" head to tail, and that's being generous.

His appetite is about 3-5 small dubias per feeding 2 times day never less than 2 hours before lights out. multi vitamin dusted 2x a week and calcium every other time. he ate greens (escarole turnip and mustard) from my hand today.

I assume these are not infectious, he is not near my other dragon as he is new and in quarantine, but if they are, I will switch to full on latex gloves and the whole 9 when handling him and his cage. All advice is appreciated

I check his temps with the ir gun in the foreground at about 2" from the spot

I am sure more experienced will chime in soon to help you, but baby beardies generally need a 105-110 degree basking side. 90 is definitely not hot enough, I know you said you were raising temps just wanted to clarify that.

Also do you have any idea what the humidity levels are in the viv?

You mentioned keeping temps over 80 at night, was there a few nights when it maybe got too cold for him? Also is there any way for you to get a humidity reading?

And lastly, I'm sure people will be wondering about your lighting setup, so if you can list the brands, and types of bulbs that would be great! Just helps people understand the environment your beardie is in to rule out some potential problems.

I have a "precision" (not cheap) dial showing between 35-45. I do believe last night may have given him a chill the temp went way down and he slept on the opposite side of the che. is 115F really ok for him I thought over 110 wasn't good for him, but right now a few spots are registering that high. his lights normally go out in 10 mins but im gonna keep them on an extra 30 and if he heads for his hide ill put the che right over him and check him with the ir gun.

he is staying in his basking spot post lights out. his body registers 106F he's near a 109 and a 112

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
