Hi I just bought my baby bearded dragon and I am just reading that they are not actually from a sandy dessert environment and sand can cause sickness!
But the sand is already in the tank!
When the sand runs out we plan on getting reptile carpet but there is a half a bag of sand left.
Will he be OK for now?

He will probably be OK if you keep it very clean and all of your lighting is good. It's best to remove it though and replace it with something easier to clean like non adhesive shelf liner or tile. Repticarpet is OK but it needs frequent washing which causes it to fall apart. Solid surfaces are easier to clean and sanitize. For the cost of a roll of non adhesive shelf liner, it's probably best just to scoop/vacuum the sand out, clean the bottom of the tank up with vinegar/water, and put some liner down instead.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
