Hello everyone in the bearded dragon community. I am new too all this baby bearded dragons. I woke up the morning it been 80 days since my babies have been in the incubator. All the eggs are shrinking now they were nice and plump in the beginning. There is 2 babies poking there heads out 1 is almost 2 inches out of the egg. How long does it usually take for the egg to be completely off the baby. He is breathing but not moving will he move when the egg is totally off of him? Any awnswers would be apppriciated. If they survive I will post many pictures
Thank you to all

Congrats on your lil pooper poping out! It can take up to 2 days for them to separate from the egg. Usually it only takes a few hours. Never help, just let them do it on their own. Sometimes they will move around still attached to the egg. And we will need pictures! Good luck.. :D

Ok thank you
There looking very cute there is now 4 coming out there breathing and looking very good. Should I remove them from the vermiculite and put them in the incubator on moist paper towel? Also when they come out he doesn't look like he is too active just laying there is it normal. Sorry I am new to all of this. I got my Beautiful Georgia sunburst from a buddy and she was already pregnant so I wasn't expecting this but it is very neat to see Babies. How ever many make it there all called for my from my friends and family. Thanks for all your help.

Once the babies are separated from the egg give them a hour or two in the vermiculite then transfer them to their new home. Hopefully you have the tank set up with heat and UVB and a paper towel. Yes it is normal for them to lay around for a few hours. within a day or two they will be up and moving around.

Welcome, also remember they may not eat right away but do still offer food tomorrow. Start the salads ASAP and you wont have any problems in the future of them not eating it for you. You can also offer pinhead crickets. Any more questions just ask! :D

Hi,
Another question after the egg is detached there is still a umbilical cord. I put the baby in the tank and he still has the umbilical cord attached a little. I am sure that it just dries up and falls off?
He is doing great we have 1 in the tank and there are 3 half way out should be done by tomorrow morning. The other 13 are looking really great ready to hatch. I have the tank set up with uvb and heat bulbs just like mommas tank. Should I run the same cycle for the lights? Turn them off at night and back on again in the morning?
I can't seem to upload my pictures on here is there an easier way to load them onto this website?
Thank you for all your help.........

Yes a little bit of it will remain on for a day or so but yes it will dry up and fall off! Some people try to keep it moist however you really dont want to do that unless it is really long. Yes run the same cycle. I ususlly do 12 hours on 12 off! Here is the link that will explain how to do it. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=37103

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
