Babies at the Petstore

Hello everybody! I was at a petstore here in Calgary and I came across the cutest assortment of baby beardies I have ever seen...and I took pics

If I had more money and room...I would have picked up 1 or 2.

I saw a dark one like that at a reptile expo. only $30 too.
i still wish i had gotten the little guy :/

I can't help but coo over the lil guys whenever I see them at a pet store. I just want to cuddle all of them!

I just read your post and thought is was great that I am not the only one who goes to the pet store just to visit the baby beardies. Our local Petco has some that look like they hatched yesterday. Too small to sell, I think. Only someone really experienced should get one that small. Hope they go to a good home. So tiny and so cute. My son and I stood and talked to them. Must have looked crazy but I don't care.
Got a little worried when a lady with her daughter stepped up to see them and said, "Aw.. Aren't those the lizards that you can dress up in hats and stuff?" Sigh. Glad she did not get one. Poor beardies.

Yes. I wanted to tell the lady to go get herself a baby doll to dress up, not a beardie. Can you imagine how that would stress one.
That baby in the picture you posted definetely looks like something is very wrong. I have never seen one bend their head that far back. That's a little scary. Don't you wish you could take them all? He is a very cute baby. Hope he is not already damaged.

That's called stargazing, it's a common sympton of a URI - they're trying to keep the fluid down so that they can breath

Oh goodness, that's terrible. My dad went back later cause he got the wrong light for his fish, and he said he was still sitting like that I might call the store tomorrow and tell them to do something.

Yeah, I hate it when pet stores don't do anything about sick animals. I went into PetSmart one day and there was a chinese water dragon with photo-kerato-conjunctivitis and basically he couldn't open his eyes like they were glued shut. The next day I went back to the PetSmart to tell them to do something about it and the water dragon wasn't there anymore.

I went to Petsmart the other day for superworms and as always, I checked out the beardies. They are so colorful and active, basking or playing in the water. I really wanted to buy them all!
Usually I feel so bad for them but these babies looked very happy, which made me very happy.
