So I have gotten two baby bearded dragons. I have had them a week and a day... The little boy is doing fine he's acting normal as he did when I first got him. The other baby is my little girl. I have noticed the past 3 days she has not been her self:( she won't eat, won't bask, and all she seems to wanna do is sleep.... I force fed her this morning and she only ate 2 and a half calcium worms... And I put her back in the Viv and she went back the same spot and closed her eyes... Idk what wrong with her and I'm really worried:( I don't want her dieing on me:( PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello, I am sorry to hear your beardie is not doing well. What UV light are you using? And what substrate are they on?

Hi. Are they housed together? Yes. Please do a rundown of the set up. Lights used? Brands? How are you taking the temps? What size is the enclosure?

I'm using all zoomed products. They are also on a reptile carpet

Yes they are housed together. They don't get feed together. They are in 20 gallon zoomed starter tank everything they had in the kit I put in and I have a temp gun I use the tell the twos of the cage:) they have a 75whatt Basking light and many places to go cool down...their temps are at a constant 105 on basking side and 75-80 on the cool side. And I also have a question why is my male dragon always running up to the front or the cage and doing arm circles? I find that strange.

Thanks for answering. Those kits are junk. They don't have the correct lighting, or the correct way to take temps. Also beardies should never be housed together. The one that is having issues is not going to do well sharing a habitat. So basically you need a better thermometer a temp gun or digital with a wire probe so you know what the basking spot temperature is. You need a bright white basking light and a reptisun 10.0 Tube. Any coil or compact light is not good for beardies as they cause appetite, lethargy and eye problems. They waving is normal. It can be submissive gesture. They need a bigger tank. A 40 gallon is recommended for just ONE beardie. Even when they are small a 20gallon for ONE is fine too crowded for 2.

Hello, to tell you the the truth, those kits are usually junk. It looks like it comes with a coil UV light, which are NOT good. You will immediately want to replace that with a tube light, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009YJ3BE/ref=twister_B00ZJTLCYA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

You might want to consider a larger habitat, especially since you have 2 of them, it is possible that the male is bullying the female, or stressing them out. Look on things like Craigslist and you can find them pretty cheap. You could also contact CooperDragon, I have found him very helpful and knowledgable. Hope this helped!

Well the girl is doing better now I took her to the vet and they said she is as ting like this because she is going into shed and it's starting to show now and they said that some dragons have lose or hunger and will sleep more... So in a way I trust them. And I did have them in a 40 gallon and they always hid in places and it wasn't until I moved them to a smaller tank is then they wanted to come out and be more social:) so idk what's up with that...

My beardies have never been sleepy while they shed. I have had beardies for 6 years. I have one that is shedding now and hes up and basking. Does she look like she's going to shed? Light gray skin? Does this vet have any experience with reptiles?

Yes the vet is an exotic vet and deals with reptiles:) she said some bearded bragons won't eat when shedding and she is looking more bull everyday she has lost her dark yellow coloring in her head and tail and is starting to lose it on her back too..

Beardies dont get drowsy or anything like you said when shedding. They only get in a bad mood from experience that I have had with my former beardie. She is dead now. Dumpling was hit by a car. But yea dont use the kits or heating pads/rocks. Yes I know tou did not say that there was heating pads or rocks but thats a heads up

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
