Got a new babie Bearded Dragon who is 7 in long including it's tail. He/she is in a 40 gal tank The food and water is in one in one end of the tank and the basking perch is in the other. Sam spends most of the time on some place on the perching tree. What I need to know , o I need to take Sam to the water and food dishes, so that he/she knows where it's at.

I never thought about hand feeding Sam.What should i hand feed a baby dragon.

I would get a regular source of BSFL , and 20day old ( 1/5th size ) crickets for such a small hatchling.

Feed live insects 3x per day until it's about 6 months old.
When you give crickets (make sure they are shorter than space between the hatchling's eyes) and make sure to

, Blowfly gents, these can be left in a suitable escape proof food dish like this https://mrpetsupplies.com/products/ceramic-escape-proof-feeder-dish-bowl

If you decide to handfeed - here's how : viewtopic.php?f=18&t=235583

If you bought it from a pet shop, with a tank kit , very good idea to do a thorough run down on temperatures, the lights and how they are set up and show us photos of the tank and lights. Invariably these kits are hopelessly inadequate and pet shops give very poor / bad advise.

Weigh it in a tub with a lid on it using a set of scales , now. Repeat every week - and graph it's weights - you'll see how it's growing and pick up on problems this way.

Make sure your lighting and temperatures are right.
Please tell us

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
