Um... Hello!

I've been a member here for a little while now and figured it was probably time to make a little intro thread. I just got my first beardie from a breeder on the 23rd and could really use a lot of advice and reassurance. I'm still very much in the newbie stage and despite all my research and being sure I'm doing the correct things, I tend to worry anyway. Feel free to call me Jenn, Minion, or even Min... I really don't mind any of these. There really isn't much to say about me... or, at least, I am not very good at talking about myself hehe.

Without further ado, I present to you my 8 week old (on the 24th) bearded dragon, Kvatch! :3

Aaand... I have way more pictures than this. I figured for my intro post, I would go easy on you guys lol. I'll make a thread later with all my pictures. :3 I really hope to get to know some of you! This place seems awesome so far and I've already learned a lot from simply lurking.

Welcome Jenn and Kvatch! Can I ask the meaning behind the name? I always like to hear the meaning behind interesting names! :mrgreen:

I find that this forum is great at answering questions, so if you're unsure on anything this is a great place to get reassurance.

As for Kvatch's name... well, I'm a bit of a dork, so I named him after a town in one of my favorite games. I thought it sounded cool, plus there is a chapel in the town dedicated to a dragon god named Akatosh. I was originally going to name him this, but it just seemed so regal for such a tiny little scrap. :lol:

That's a cool meaning/ inspiration. We had a heck of a time choosing a name. We decided on Toa which means warrior in Samoan.

That's really neat! I think it is a wonderful name. :3
And yes, choosing names are incredibly difficult. I changed Kvatch's name several times before settling for the one he has now.

What an adorable little one!!!! I just love the name. It is so interesting seeing the names people come up with for their beardies and where they get them from.
I was really amazed at how much personality they have, they are so interesting and my two are completely different from each other.
How is the little one doing with bath time? Both of mine really don't like it, but will tolerate it briefly.
