Awake?

Ahmed woke up on boxing day, he's been brumating since the beginning of October, first time ever, I was hoping he'd go back to sleep until the spring but he hasnt slowed down again
Took a few days of dopey behaviour before his hunger crept in & he leapt across the tank to grab some crix, he's been running around ever since
Surprising he woke up as this is during the coldest winter in the UK in his lifetime, minus 5 outside, it gets pretty cold here in this flat at night when the CH switches off & he's woken during the worst of it
Has any other beardies woken up mid winter?
What are the chances of him going back to sleep & saving his daddy some money on locust/crix for a few more months? Does this happen or is he awake now til winter 2009/2010?

Aww, I wanted to check out Ahmed online, but my computer says I don't have Active-X enabled. Whatever that is.

My 4-year old female BD Bowser woke up yesterday after sleeping for a month or so. She ate greens this morning (green beans and bok choy) for the first time in what feels like forever, and is now dozing on my lap. I'll post pix of her zooming about the living room yesterday, as soon as i get the pix up onto Photobucket. So apparently Ahmed isn't the only one to wake up in the middle of winter. I guess it's time to buy more crix & supers!

I missed his running around, especially as when he went to sleep he'd been very ill & was just recovering so it's been a long time since I've seen him 'happy'

Are you in the UK?
I wonder what else triggers our beardies to wake up, the sleep is obviously not totally based on the weather

Yeah he was quite ill, he had a ruptured aneurysm in his head, very nearly died, poor thing

My beardie, Gus, just woke up yesterday, i have read that you shouldn't feed them when they wake up because the food could rot in their stomach if they go back to sleep. i soaked gus yesterday and he drank alot. should i feed him today? help!
