avoiding cool side

ok so my female beardie is gaping all day like shes hot...even while laying in her warm hide...its in the 90s in that hide, and 110 basking right above it.....my cool side is about 82

she wont even consider going to the cool side, but its obvious that shes very hot on the warm side.....is this normal?

How old is she? How are you measuring your temps?

Can you describe your tank setup?

she is 6 and my tank setup is straight off a caresheet

4x2, wood, 10.0 reptisun, 110 basking, 90 hot, 80 cool, etc etc....just doesnt make sense if shes hot why she avoids the cool end

A more detailed description would help, a picture of the enclosure would be even better.

I just had a thought. You say she's gaping all day right? Those temps don't seem high enough for her to be that overheated, and I don't seen anything from the picture of the enclosure that I can see would make her avoid it even if she was too hot. Is it possible that she has a respiratory infection? Open mouth breathing is one of the symptoms of a RI.

no because if i remove her from the heat then shes fine. and theres no clicking or bubbling or anything else

my other bd acts the same way also, in a similar setup
