Automated systems

Perhaps I am just not using the right search words because I haven't found anything yet, but is anyone aware of any companies who produce automated systems for control of temperature across the 2 zones? This seems like something that should be easy to do with all of today's miniaturization and computing technology.

After some poking around on Google (I'd been searching the forums before) I found this, which looks like just the thing. I'm a tech/gadget guy by nature, so I like the feature set on this one, with the emailed alarms, etc.

A bit pricey but it will make a swell Christmas gift to myself!

We have one similar to that, it is a different brand. It has 4 zones and email alerts, and the temp drops, and simulated sunrise, sunset, etc. It is great!

Can you tell me what brand yours is? I am very interested in these systems as well, since I'm in the process of building a new viv and I'd like to shop around a bit.

I spent quite a bit of time researching automated systems when I first built my enclosure, as I had initially planned on designed my own temp control system. I built the viv and started programming the automation, I got to the point where all it did was monitor the temps. I have a basking bulb, a 36" UVB bulb and a 150 CHE. After trying two or three different wattage basking bulbs, I put the CHE on a dimmer......and I haven't touched it since. That was close to two months ago. The temps have been steady ever since. You don't really want to dim the basking bulb if it's also your "white light" source, and the CHE was really only intended to be on at night.

That being said, all you really need is an on/off timer. I was actually pretty disappointed.
