Hey Guys- It must be out there right? Can you please direct me on where I can by a thermostat/auto dimmer that I can use with my dome lights?
Living in AK, my heat is fluctuating too much. I need something that will keep Saphira's basking spot at a consistent temp all day long regardless of the temp in the room. I can only seem to find the type of thermostat that turns on and off UTH. But I need something that will dim or raise the basking temps as needed.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks! :D

Ok, please excuse my ignorance. Looks like I need a dimming thermostat. I have a double dome over the basking spot. What do you guys use?
Are they all in the 100 dollar range? Price isn't a super huge issue, but I like to be as thrifty as I can.

Im looking for something like that too. I dont want it to shut off and on, only dim as needed. I think $100 is pricey. Post some links if you would. Ive been looking at the zoomed 500R but cant find if it dims or shuts off.

There definitely isn't anything at our local pet stores. I know people must have them.

You're asking for a proportional thermostat, rather than an analog, and those are always a little pricier. Helix is one of the better models, and Vivarium Electronics also makes a decent one for a little less money. Analog thermostats work by turning the lights off and on to maintain the temperature, rather than dimming them - they're a lot cheaper, though. I personally prefer the proportional thermostats because they do maintain that constant heat rather than the on/off.

We're having a Cyber Monday sale this Monday, you might wanna check the website and see if what you need is on sale. Tell em Jen sent you :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
