I'm confused at what my female dragon is trying to do for the past 1-2 months. She keeps going away from her basking spots, and hiding under the paper towels (what I have as substrate for now till I build a custom "false rock" enclosure). I did have her with a male, but took it as a possible sign that he was being territorial, even though he never attacked her/etc, so I put her in her own enclosure just to be safe about 1-2 months ago. She also doesn't eat unless I put her insects (fly larvae), or greens right up to her mouth to encourage her to eat and even then nothing. It makes me think of all the signs of brumation, yet she was hatched on October 8th, 2010. Isn't that WAY to young for a beardie to attempt brumation? Here are her enclosure/etc stats:
40 gallon
Basking temp (verified with infrared thermometer) 95-100
Cool end ~85
Fed fly larvae (she used to LOVE these and destroy plenty) and greens daily both dusted with vitamins/calicium
Given baths regularly
Not sure what else so thoughts?
