Assess baby's tail please :(

This is Fury, we got him Christmas eve. He lost a little bit of his tail Sunday. He has been very dark with stress marks constantly lately. If we get him out of his tank, he'll run around and lighten greatly (especially in the sunlight). When we put him back in he goes dark again. Today he had a large BM (first one in 4 days) Today after his BM he has lighten and is running around a lot more. His appetite today is SIGNIFICANTLY better! He was eating 8-10 crickets a day and today he's eaten around 20 My question is about his tail. Here's pictures of his tail. I've been reading about possible infections and it just concerns me because even when he lightens up from the stress mark, his tail is still dark. We've been thinking he's gonna shed but he still isn't showing signs of that either. Does his tail look ok?

From what I can see Fury's tail is fine. I remember when our Rosie was younger and shedding her tail tended to turn dark before it turned the light color of a shed. If Fury's tail is dark it could be that it's starting to shed.

Thanks for the reply about his tail, I needed to make sure he wasn't getting infected!

Oh and I could post tons of pics of him, I have taken a ton!
