As my vacation approaches....

I am literally in panic mode. I don't want to leave my 3 pugs and Mushu. This is first time I have been away since having Mushu. I do have 2 great people who will watch over the animals but it's poor Mushu I worry the most about as not many people are fans of reptiles. I don't think he will be taken out much and that worries me. He also likes to be hand fed so this next few days I will start just putting crickets in. He has been hunting them down. He is good with his salad no problems. I just worry will he get enough attention?...Probably not

He will be perfectly fine without attention. They really are not like dogs that want to be petted. They are fine if being picked up [ most of them ] and fine if not.

Good thing he's eating on his own, that is how beardies SHOULD be eating. If you spoil kids + pets it really doesn't benefit them in the long run.

Mushu will be fine, go enjoy your vacation.

I travel a lot and know this feeling all too well. I'm leaving again next week and I still dread leaving my buddy but he is always fine. Walk through his routine with the people looking after him if you can so they're familiar. I'd also write up a small cheat sheet for them to reference if needed. Food gets labeled in bags and put on the top shelf of the fridge, cleaning supplies are left out and clearly marked. I've found that it helps to set up a webcam on the tank so you can check in from your phone while you're gone as well. As AHBD said, they're pretty darn good on their own, especially for short periods of time (I've been gone as long as 3 weeks without a problem).
