Arm Waving?

So i recently got a new female beardie. shes in a seperate tank on the oppisite side of the room. My male has seen her and knows shes there but gets very agressive when he sees her. they can see eachother from where their cages are but they have a good 15ft inbetween them. My male has been very cranky since i brought home the female. he black beards and puff at me and my friend alot more but isnt aggresive to us. he also just randomly arm waves. i think he dose it to his reflection but im not sure.

is it because he can see her or what. i really have no idea what hes trying to do.

I dunno, but I'm curious.

My guess (no experience with more than 1 BD) is that both of em want some beardie lovin...

Male is displaying for the female. It's sounds perfectly normal, what he's doing.
The arm waving not so much. It's a more submissive gesture. Head bobbing and black bearding are the "manly" gestures.

It's because he knows she's over there. Haha! Silly dragons. Mine got jealous when we got a fish and put it in the same room!!

I agree with Ajkry2. He probably wants to get funky with her.

Hey, I noticed the arm waving tag and thought i'd add my issues into this thread.

My beardie is still a baby and has randomly waved at me about three times... please say it isn't attracted to me?

Arm waving is just a way to say: Hey I'm a bearded dragon. Adult females and juveniles sometimes use it to show they are submissive.
Not a problem, and your dragon probably isn't attracted to you. 8)

If you do a search in the beardie tales you will find a post from me with a video in it of a baby arm waving!! Good luck...

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
