Are these silkworms too big for my baby?

I got some silkworms for my baby beardie - I'm trying to get him off the smelly crickets. I ordered the smallest ones and got them in the mail a week ago Friday. They tripled in size in a week and I'm not sure if they're ok for him or not. I've heard silkworms are good because they're soft and don't have shell, but then there's the space between the eyes rule too. He wouldn't eat them at first so I was planning on giving them away, but he's eaten a few in the last few days. Still pooping normally so far. Puff is a little over 7" long. Are they too big for him?

The pic has my thumbnail for size reference:

Those are fine, soft worms like silkies don't really follow the eye width guidlines. As long as they aren't too fat to choke him they he can eat them.

Thanks for the reply - if I get him off of crickets, should I be dusting the silkies with calcium/vitamins? I'm also thinking of getting reptiworms - would I need to dust them with at least the vitamins?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
