Are mealworms okay for babies?

So I went to pet smart which I know isn't the best but that's the only place around me I can get food for Marvin, he's a baby very small and I fed him crickets for awhile but he only ate a few and then just didn't really like them and just let them jump on him so I thought maybe change it up so I asked the guy who was supposed to be a reptile specialist and he told me to feed him mealworms and he gave me 50 of them, Marvin loved them but now I'm reading that it can give them problems and there too hard ? I was thinking that he wouldn't be able to eat it but he seemed to like it, I hope it's not to bad I'm not gonna give him any more right now

No more mealworms. Try bsf.

They are NOT good to feed them. You can feed him a couple once a week as a treat, but preferrably don't feed them to him. Their outer-shells are too hard and can cause impaction which can kill him. If he doesn't like crickets, then buy some small dubia roaches. They don't escape as easily, don't smell nearly as bad, and have alot better nutritional value than crickets. They are more expensive, but worth it. Try those and see how they work.
