I have 2 baby beardies. About a month or so old. They love crickets. I try to alternate with phoenix worms but they don't seem to really like them and I end up putting crickets in. The breeder said don't feed the same thing all the time. I also try greens and they onto touch that. Any suggestions?
In answer to your question - not really , but better than a lot of other live feeder insect options.
The phoenix worms might be too small and not moving enough to attract the two little guys. A great feeder insect option if you can source them are silkworms , 5-6 week old hatchlings will easily handle small (mealworm sized) silkworms (maybe 4 - 6 of these in session), and can handle medium (1.5-2 inch long) silkworms (maybe 2 in a session).
I gave Peppa and Toothless (housed and fed separately) 2 meals of live crickets per day and a meal of small or medium silkworms + greens and grated carrot each day at 5 - 12 weeks old.
Also if your two are housed together in the same tank, I strongly recommend separating them , the quicker the better as I can guarantee one will be dominating the other other and getting the lion's share the live food, and best sleeping and basking spot. The other will be constantly stressed and will fail to thrive until it is in it' own tank.
