apples...and NOTHING ELSE

So my 3 year old, Popeye, never eaten more than 1 or 2 bite of his salad of kale, apples, and dragon food. But lately he has only eaten apples. AND he will only eat them if i hand feed them to him! But he wont even look at kale if i try to feed that to him. Is a veggie diet of only apples ok?

Nope, in fact Kale isn't even supposed to be a staple veggie, only occasional.

I would introduce collard greens, mustard greens, escarole, along with some butternut squash. i would be persistent and give him salad EVERY day despite not eating it , he will eventually.

My beardie won't eat veggies either. He eats grapes and peaches on occasion but I haven't had luck with anything else. He was raised on crickets alone so it's hard to get him to try new things. Although worms were no problem :roll: I just bought some collard greens today and I'm going to try to cut it like little worms and wiggle them in front of his face. I saw a really neat thing at my local reptile shop. It's a bowl that vibrates, making the salad wiggle and bounce like it's alive LOL. I think I might try that too.

When I rescued Thor he wouldn't touch his veggies...until I added butternut squash. Butternut squash has now become his favorite. You can peel the squash with a veggie peeler so you get thin strands and try shaking it infront of your beardie. Worked for me, best of luck!
