In September, Zeke started slowing down and went off his food completely. He started napping periodically throughout the day. Took him to the vet, had some tests run, and determined it was our first brumation! After about a week, Zeke stopped coming out of his cave completely and continued to refuse food. He would be partially awake for an hour or so, then go back to sleep every day. On the days I took him out for a bath, he would eat some salad and roaches and bask for the remainder of the day. The next morning he would be asleep again. He was pooping within a day or two of eating and was not losing significant weight.
About a week and a half ago, I came down to find Zeke awake and basking-- something I dearly missed. since then he has been up and active every day. The thing is, Zeke hasn't really gotten his appetite back. He will eat a roach, maybe two, every day and will take a bite of his salad only if I put something in he really likes. I've also noticed that every few days he is much slower to get up in the morning and tends to get his start around 11 rather than 6:30. Is it possible he isn't actually done brumating? Or should I be more concerned?
Zeke is 1.5 years old.
