Anyone use Strongid to kill pinworms? Help before I give it!

Ok I just picked up Ramses' fecal results and meds...

His test said the following:

The number of eggs or parasites is the number on the entire slide (not per field)
Parasite #1: Oxyurid (pinworm) eggs 1+
1+ = 2 to 4 eggs or parasites (few)
2+ = 5 to 10 (small)
3+ = 11 to 50 (moderate)
4+ = more than 50 (many)

So it appears he only has a few pinworms. Is this even worth treating? The doctor prescribed .05ml of Strongid one day, then another dose in 2 weeks.

Does that sound normal? Any side effects from Strongid?

We used Panacur to treat pinworms, which is a is a benzimiIdazole. Your vet prescribed Strongid, which is a tetrahydropyrimidine. Both of those medications are used to treat pinworms in horses in my personal experience. I would presume Strongid is fine for your dragon, but I have never used it on a dragon before and I don't know for certain.

I would either treat the pinworms with the medication or have another fecal done in 2-3 months to make sure the pinworm numbers haven't increased. To be honest, I'd just go ahead and treat it, unless someone comes on here and says don't use Strongid. But it really would be best treated.
