The split in the scales?
Thats just where the egg sack was from my understanding, most beardies have one and then it usually shrinks up after each shed. Same goes for most snakes. My two adults don't have it on their belly anymore but my juvenile still does along with my ball python.

Oh no, don't apologize! It's wonderful to have one that isn't Yellow Fungus or some other, horrible problem! We'll take all the belly-buttons you can give us!
