anyone elses beardy like to sleep in?

im new to beardies but have grown up with dogs and cats. so i was realy surprised when percy wouldnt move after turning on his light i put a cricket in there and he just went back to sleep ive only had him a couple of days but he wont even move for anything till 7am when i wake him up at 6:30. after 7 though he will run around and eat like a happy little guy. ive never had a pet that sleeps in usuraly they wake me up. i just thought it was cute and was wandering if anyone elses beardy like to catch more Zzz

I normally get up at 7, unless we have practice in the morning, which I then get up at 6. I always wake her up by turning her light on, and by the time I'm out of the shower she's usually ready to eat. Some days she's lazy until about 7 o'clock, but I don't blame her. :lol:

mine decide when they want to wake up, i'll turn on the lights in the morning and they'll just keep sleeping until they feel like it -.-

If I turn Spikes lights on before 10am.. I get EVIL glares and sometimes she puffs up and gets a full grey beard at me!! Mommy has learned.. not to wake the baby before 10!! Today I woke her at 10:30.. and still got an evil look.. no puffing though.

Now if the beardie could train the dogs to sleep in.. life would be good! Nothing like having two 100 lb american bulldogs jump on you to wake you up!

My RaJa enjoys sleeping in and Will Not move until at least 10:30am, And if I do wake him before that he mean mugs me for hours like I completely disturbed his beauty sleep... Iv'e found it easier to just leave the light off until after then lol

Ugh, Stella is the QUEEN of sleeping in! Its so funny.

I have her timer set for lights-on at 8:30 am, and before I leave for work I get all of her food and stuff prepared and put it in her enclosure... And the last thing I do is prop the blanket up a little bit that she is sleeping under. If I don't do that, she'll stay in bed all day sometimes. :roll:

On the weekends when we're home to see her in the morning, she'll usually roll out of bed at the earliest: 9 am, but usually she'll sleep until 10 or 11 am. LAZY.

My Nim is not a morning person. The longest it has taken him to get up was an hour. I actually had to check if he was alive. I removed the blanket and saw him give me the evil eye. But I just left him uncovered. He crawled out a bit later. Sometimes though, he is already fully awake once I turn the lights on. I can see now my lazy beardie isn't alone.

I wish my kids were like our baby beardies. We have 3 baby beardies and all of them put them selves to bed at 8 pm. Even if the light is still one. One of them likes to sleep under the paper towel, I guess it's like a blanket. :lol:

Our girl is up as soon as her light goes on if not before. The boy usually burries his head in his blanket when the light goes on and sleeps for another hour or so. If you lift up his blanket to peek at him you get the dreaded stink eye!

I get up for work around 5:30am. I turn on per legs light around 6am. He usually sleeps on the tile or on his log. He will get up and walk into his cave and go back to sleep. Such a lazy lizard.

Zeus is ussually up before I turn on his lights 730-8 weekdays 8-12 on weekends so he gets up pretty early but likes to crash by 1030
