Hello,

Looking for someone who has tested LED bulbs in their tank and has proven them safe for the dragons eyes. I have a megaray and would like to couple it with an LED bulb for brightness and contrast to the megaray. I just want to make sure that the brightness of the LED's do not affect the dragons long term. If anyone has knowledge or experience it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I'm interested in this too, seeing as how LED bulbs are making there way onto the market very fast.

Sorry I couldn't help.

i really do not need more heat...my temps are great which is also why i wanted an LED (even lesser heat than flourescent and a lot brighter)

It would seem like if you were gonna use dimmer switches, might as well save some money and just buy a normal household bulb unless you have dimmer switches laying around :p

are LED bulbs dimmable...that is what i am asking, they are new so i was not sure if they are
Yeah they should be, dimmers control the amount of power being given to the light. I asked today while I was at a local pet shop. The guy said he wouldn't use any color either, would go clear. I asked if they would bother a dragons eye, he said it shouldn't. So there is another opinion.

usually pet store opinions aren't the best but thanks for the input!! :D
Not pet store, pet shop. I only asked cause they are the most reputable pet shop in the Salt Lake valley. LOL just trying to help get opinions for you

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
