We got a 4-5 month old that was eating 10-14 small crickets twice a day..Now yesterday night and this morning he acts completly uninterrested in food....
Tank specs
40g
24" raptisun 10.0
150w basking
150w ceramic
Basking temps=105ish depending on where hes hanging out
Cold side 80ish

Now he has two pieces of skin that are starting to shed at his head...
He also is already starting to get skinny from not eating.

Is the shedding of his skin the reason he stopped eating? Usally he is really excited to eat...
we had a zilla UVB light until I found this forum...he has has the raptisun for about a week and had been much more active since we got the raptisun but now he doesn't want to eat...?
Thanks for any help you can offer

Love this site....we learned so much already about do's and donts.

shedding can cause them to lose their appetite....it can also make them lethargic and grumpy. Once he's finished shedding his appetite will come back so don't worry, its completely normal and natural :D

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
