Angry Prince

Sometimes when I get home late at night I let my beardie, Prince run around my bedroom with the door closed so that the dogs don't try to catch him. He normally runs around for a little while and then finds somewhere to hid and go to sleep. Lately he's been kind of grumpy and just laying in his hiding spot in his tank. So last night I let him out to run around for about two hours and when I came back into the room to find him he was sleeping under the table that I have my other beardie, Elvis' tank on. When I went to go pick him up he wouldn't let me and started bearding and hissing at me. I tends to do this if you try to pick him up too fast or if he's in a bad mood. He would let me pet his head but if I tried to pick him up or touch his feet he would start hissing again. I thought this was the funniest thing ever and decided to videotape my temperamental dragon for you to enjoy as well. He finally calmed down and let me pick him up to put him in his tank.... but here's the link for you to watch the video....

I feel kind of bad because I rescued him from someone that was selling him on craigslist and he is not hand tame at all and gets nervous a lot when I try to hold him. But this night I was just cracking up because he didn't want me to pick up at all lol

The important thing is that you rescued him! He will get better, just takes time. It was extremely cute nonetheless!! He will come around!!
