I'm worried now incase I get hatchlings. I'm a pet owner not a breeder. Still I purchased a huge manual incase it happens. Wouldn't have the heart to purposely kill the eggs...

Ah, how sweet to have baby beardies. Has his little encounter made him any happier?

Took him to the vets the other day. He's given him the implant that will chemically neuter him!! He did say that over the next 2 weeks he will get worse, then he'll start calming down. Sure enough he's gotten even worse which I didn't imagine possible lol.

Now when i put my hand in to get his food bowl or water bowl, he actually stands up on all 4 legs and tilts his body sideways with his beard black and flared lol. Quite funny to watch his little manhood display but hopefully this will sort the little guy out. Haven't handled him for a couple of weeks now unfortunately . Might try tonight...

On the other note, my female is about to drop her 30 egg's she's holding lol. Got an incubator all set and ready so can't wait!!

that is awsome congrats. my little man is doning the same thing..he's round 5 months or so im told and he gets all skitty when i try to pick him up..bearded and hissing at me..never biten me tho. but once i get him out he's just fine. i hope its like a teenage phase or something lol

My advice is to associate yourself with yummy treats LOL. It's the best way to win over any animal. Just make sure to use long tongs so he doesn't end up thinking your hand is the treat. Offer an item (worm, cricket, roach etc) and then remove him gently, underneath his body, from the enclosure. Put him right into a luke warm bath. Then offer him more items. After a while he will inevitably start to associate you with good things. Just keep it up. Slow, gentle movements and lots of treats. You will win him over if you stick to this, I promise. If you act too quickly or get rude at all, you will lose his trust. They're gentle, docile animals by nature. He's been scared by something so you have to help him out of it. Good luck.

Yeah. I'd like to report he is sooooo much better!! I can put my hand in slowly and he doesn't attack anymore. Though he still looks like he wants to, but doesn't.

The vet said on his results he had more testosterone than a fully grown male iguana!! So that explains a lot. But the implant is doing beautifully. Hopefully were get to a stage where I can take him out his tank without problems but that's just time now.

How's peanut doing?

That's brilliant news, it must make life much easier and hopefully will only get better.

Peanut is great now, he lets us pick him up now, he's so much bigger so don't think it's as easy to run away now lol.

Thought i'd post one of the most AMAZING things ever! I talk a lot on this video but its worth watching. I'm so dumbfounded by the results, that im .. well overjoyed .

As many of you know I have one beardie with serious issues. Biting, attacking me. Never found anything that worked, from giving him one of my worn shirts to bribing with food, to changing vivarium, all sorts. One thing DID cure my beardie, and it was thanks to my local specialist, who i'm currently making a DVD for as i'm so happy !!

Now, I had my Beardie implanted on 19th August 2010. I took the below video on Sun 12th September 2010 ( 3 Weeks later )

I really really suggest anyone with an angry beardie they cannot seem to cure, please get one. It's 100% safe for them and it's guarenteed to work. I thought i was lost and would have to put up with this angry guy, but I don't. He now sits quite happily on me at night and will fall asleep on my chest while i stroke him! Please never give up on your beardie. I kept persuing and it seems it's paid off!

Secondly I've tiled one viv now, and am putting angry one back 3 days later ( so everythings dried, cleared ) to enjoy his new palace!! Then i'll be moving the female to the spare viv setup and getting her's tiled . Attached a picture below for you all

Then it's on to the fun part of ordering a couple of blocks of polystyrene and build the new insides

OMG that is amazing, I can't believe how quick that has worked.

Peanut is fine so we won't really need anything like that done.

I love the look of the tiled viv, our viv is like yours so have been thinking myself of tiling. What tiles did you use?

Just went down the local hardware store and purchased a pack of 9 floor tiles. Got the rough ones not the shiny / smooth ones.

Yeah I can't believe how well it worked either!!
