Angry at companies who write incorrect info on products

What do you guys do when you puchase a product from a company by reading the information posted on the box. I bought a ZooMed mocturnal infrared Heat Lamp (ree). It said that the reptile will not see the light of the bulb and will sleep. Ollie was up all night. I did a search on the topic search and realized that all of you HATE these lamps. The DO keep them up all night. I want to return this product to the pet store but I feel guilty because I have had it on for two nights. Poor Ollie is now very tired.
Do you guys return products that you have used when the product description is obviously only to sell there product?

I went into the ZooMed website and read the info on this product again to make sure I didn't misunderstand what it said about the animal's sleep pattern. I cut this off of the product description:

"Ideal 24 hour heat source for all types of reptiles, amphibians, birds or small animals. Very little visible light provided so as not to disturb your animal’s sleep patterns"
YES IT DOES disturb the sleep of the animal!!!

Unfortunatly there is alot of rubbish out there.
My personal hatred is calci-sand and woodchippings that come in bags with "GREAT FOR BEARDED DRAGONS" written on.
I guess they decided that "will probably kill your dragon but hey we just want to make money" didnt have the same catchy tune to it.

I say why not try to return it. It can't hurt to try. The 2 days you spent using it was the time it took to figure out it was keeping him up at night. It was false info on the box, and the store should take it back. These are diurnal animals, not nocturnal.
