An update from me!

Remember that boy we were supposed to get, I posted pics of him and everything was set for the 21st....well buddy stopped responding to my emails so I guess that didnt work out

Then we were in contact with a girl who had 2 beardies, a male and a female, we were all set to get them, getting things ready for 2 beardies then she got all weird on me, I ended up getting upset with her and she decided to keep them...

So we're getting a baby, Im done looking through Kijiji ads and trying to find a nice adult, Im tired of dealing with people and their BS...Ive found a good breeder close to me, her dragons are from Capital Dragons in Ontario and they are really nice, so within the next few weeks, Im finally going to have my baby and it will be ALL mine, I am so excited, the enclosure is all set up in the living room, just gotta finish it up and it will be ready to go...

Got my cricket bin all ready, WAHOO! so excited!

sorry about all the aggravation you had to go through but you never know for sure if your going to get something going through those sites like craigslist of kijiji until you have it in your hands, it's so frustrating I know it happened with me.


That's great your not giving up and I can't wait to see some pictures of your new addition

After the last girl let me down, I sat on my front steps and cried like a baby......All I thought about were these beardies, numerous emails and phone calls between us, it was set to go...

I was heartbroken.

But there's no feeling like getting my own baby, Im excited to watch him grow, Im just excited about the whole thing and the breeder is awesome! I can't say enough good things about her! It's going to be an amazing journey!

After reading your post I feal so luckey. My adult beardie will be comming from a breeder whom I alredy know. She is cutting down on some of hur breeders and I just happen to be in the markett for an adult female. Sorry you had such awfl experances makes me feal verry blessed.

Yay , for you you're probably better off getting one from a breeder. Capital dragons does have some really nice ones. awhile back i wanted to get one from them and they said they didn't ship to the U.S. any more. it was too much for them to ship a beardie out , but it's probably worth it for them to sell to breeders since they probably buy more than one at a time. well good luck !! when are you getting your baby and is it a boy or girl ?

well the babies are not directly from Capital Dragons, the baby I am getting is from a girl that bred her 2 that are from Capital Dragons, so my babies parents are from Capital Dragons....

We are getting a baby boy and I think the kids have decided to name him Pickles :lol:

And to add to all my excitement, I just found a guy in Canada that breeds and sells Dubia Roaches.....YAY YAY YAY! So I wont have to do crix for very long, Im double excited about this!

Tomorrow we are completly finishing the enclosure but we still have to wait a little while to get the baby since we still smell fumes from the sealer....waitin on my Mega Ray and Vitamins as well! So many little things left to do!!

My friend has a cat named Pickles and the kids always liked the name, so Im guessing thats where they got it from, my 7 yr old Corbin thought maybe he would name it Popcorn for a little while but he always goes back to Pickles

Metalocalypse is a cartoon on adult swim. It is about a metal band called Dethklok. Pickles is the drummer and used to be the lead singer of a band called snakes and barrels. I think he is supposed to be the cartoon version of Axel Rose from Guns N Roses. LOL I love the character because he is balding and has a dredlock comb over!
