Thank you so much, you are the best! I am going to have everything done for you to make watching them as easy as possible. It will be like you're coming over for a play date  Speaking of play dates, we do need to set something up. Probably mid December, and then again before we leave. I am not worried about you looking after the babies, the biggest part are the beardies and you're already amazing at that! The uros are easy they get a big salad which I'll have pre made, the geckos will have plenty of wormies, and Walter will be fine with being fed once while we are gone. I am going to ask our other friends to split the week with you because that's so much driving back and forth. Anyway I got back from my parents house finally after house/dog sitting for a the last week. I missed my babies soooo much. Both Chloe and PeeWee are sleeping on me and refuse to be moved, they bearded at Jeffrey when he tried to move them so I could go to the bathroom... Hahahha    Gotta love those dragons!

Yeah, let me know what day works best for you! I'm pretty much always free (I have no life between work and home, LOL! )

Okay, just so you know I'm totally fine with taking care of them the whole week if it doesn't work out with your friends for some reason - you're really only several miles away from me, so it's not much driving at all.

I'm glad you are back home! What a relief for you (and everyone in your house, I'm sure!)

Haha, I love when they get woken up and go into full-on beard - you feel bad for startling them, but it's sooooo darn cute! "Wakey, wakey-POOF!!!"

I bought some silkworms for Stella to try from Ynevar here on the forums, and she will not even try them. :banghead: She is so stubborn, I swear.

I'm like "Stella, are you kidding me?!? These look delicious! These are like, the New York Strip Steak of worms! Look, smell them, they smell sweet!" while I hold her dish out to her. ...this all coming from a person who has a worm phobia. I have lost my ever-loving mind.

I finally found your thread! It's so good to see all the pics of Stella. Didn't havee time to read everything, but laughed when Stanley became Stella. She's a beautiful dragon, so orange! Bet you almost have to wear sunglasses to see her when she's at her happiest!

Haha, yeah I couldn't believe it! It was so hard to go from calling "him/he" "Stanley", to "her/she" "Stella"! You could almost feel the relief coming off of her when mom *finally* figured out that she was a girl.

Yes, she's very bright orange! Well, she *can* be. She goes from that bright neon orange to a flat, drabby greenish/orange color. Usually when she's in her enclosure - she really doesn't like it in there, and would much rather be out and about with us. We usually have her out from the time we come home until bedtime each day. All 3 of us dote on her - heck, even the dog does too - she's the "baby" and she knows it!

They're so funny about being out of the enclosure. I have a ramp in the living room with toys all around it & a Power Sun on a lampstand on the top, so my dragons can be out for a few hours & still get UVB. I have one dragon that insists on being out when I 'm at work, so I let him. Didi's my orange dragon but not as stunning as Stella! I have a young man who comes in daily to put them all to bed, Didi's the only dragon that will stay near or on the ramp all day, so he's easy to find. The others are good for a couple of hours, then they hide. They're so funny the way they take over your life & they really do! And we're such great slaves!

I haven't been on in a long time! It's been a busy last month and a half - with the holidays, then my daughter's birthday and just EVERYTHING! And of course Stella has been right in the middle of everything, she's gotta be out and about and "helping".

She's been doing great - she's still eating a bunch and growing! I think she's in the middle of that final growth spurt that they have. She's at around 500 grams right now.

She is still extremely attached to me, and if she's not on my shoulder than she's definitely got me in her line of sight.

Here are a couple pics of her crazy "hyper" behavior - I propped the books up to kind of block the space behind the bookshelves so that she doesn't get herself stuck back there (those bookshelves are a pain to move!). One book sitting straight up, the other propped diagonal to support the other one.

Stella decided that these books should be destroyed. Then she got stuck.
"WAT. I'M FINE, DON'T STARE. I'm putting the "L" between "K" and "M", alright?"

Oh Michelle, thanks for the update and those pics are priceless  Talk about getting into a jam  Did you have to get her out finally, or did she figure out that going sideways would work? She is just sooo funny!

She is certainly a character, that's for sure!

She has such a strong personality, and is so expressive.

God, I feel terrible - I clipped her nails last night, and apparently I clipped one of her back nails too close and it bled just a tiny little bit (I know it hurt! ) She poofed at me. I don't blame her!

Sweetiepie - oh, I had to go fish her scaley butt out of there! Not before laughing at her and snapping pics first, of course!

Well that's what good beardie slaves do, take pics first, then rescue. She's so funny and it looks as if she's forgiven you for the clip that hurt. I have to clip Gabriel's nails, he's now able to climb the sofa, which means, if he figures it out, he can jump to the main part of the apartment and disappear in so many places! He already got out of the living room twice, his long snout worked well to wiggle past the 2nd barrier, which is now completely blocked off. The first time I found him in the hallway (thank goodness he didn't get into the bedroom) and the 2nd time asleep under my computer desk, silly dragon. None of the others have ever even tried to get through that barrier, but leave it to Gabriel to do something none of the others would even think of!

How old is your daughter now, makes for a busy life, doesn't it? Glad 2013 is going well for you!

Ugh, under the computer desk is one of Stella's favorite places to nap too! What is it with that?!?

My daughter turned 5! She's growing up so fast. YES she keeps us busy! But she's a good kid. It's so funny, she adores Stella, and will pet her and play with her but is TERRIFIED to pick her up. She's the same way with our dog, too. I guess I'd much rather her be like that than too rough with them!

My nephew's like that too, he's 6 and he's picked them up for an inch, then dropped them, so now when he visits he has to sit down and hold them like that. He's a high energy kid, so it's almost too much to sit, but he'll sit to hold my dragons!

Wow, your daughter's already 5, where does the time go? My boy's 29 now and he's going to be a daddy in August! So that means I'm going to be a grandma for the first time, he's my only kid, even if he's no longer a kid! It'll be fun to have a grandbaby, all new!

Wow, your first grandbaby! That is so awesome! Congrats! :blob5: :blob8: :blob5: I remember before I had Kennedy, I was NOT a kid person at all, and now I can't get enough of babies! Its funny how much kids will change you! For the better, of course!

You're so right, before Eric was born I didn't have 2 seconds to give any child, but now I still love kids and I'm so looking forward to being a grandma!

Stella decided to sleep in yesterday - hubby got home before me (at around 4-ish) and she was still in bed! :banghead: He had to wake her up, LOL

Then it was impossible for me to get her to settle down for the evening - 11 pm and she was all over the place and up in my face like "HI. U CAN TO PLZ OPEN TEH BLINDS SO I CAN LOOKZ OUT THE WINDOH?"

Here she is on her new hammock!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
