Ammonia Accident Please HELP!!!!!!

Today I noticed what looked like mites on my Beardie's log so I took everything out of the tank to soak in a mixture of vinegar and water. The things were soaking for about half an hour until my mom and I finally couldn't imagine that vinegar could ever smell so bad. I rushed to the recycling bin and did some dumpster diving to find out that we used ammonia! AMMONIA!!!!!!!! right now the things are soaking in normal water. What should I do? Will Dragos be ok? Please I need help. Thank you.

You need to make sure it is aired out really good. I would even bake it in the oven at 375 for 30 mins. And put it back in the tank tomorrow.

Ammonia water: about half an hour
Normal water: about an hour and is still in

First, vinegar really won't kill much more than hot water. Second, if its wood, I'd imagine baking it in the oven as described and letting it air out, it will be fine... If its plastic, or non porous, just rinse it and it will also be fine.

Would it work if I used my heat lamp? I't might not get to 375 but I can leave it on all night. I'll find somewhere to station it away from the tank.

I dont think that would work... You might have to find/buy new wood, or let it sit/soak/sit/soak for many weeks just to get rid of it all... I've never had this problem so i dont know for sure but that sounds good to me.
