i know its that time of year where Brumation posts are going up because some people havent experienced it yet.. much like my self, but i would like to think this IS NOT brumation for my babies. they just seem too young for it.

I posted on here a little while ago about my Torro hiding a lot:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=179349

even after all i have changed for him, he doesnt do anything, and only comes out now to eat and poo.. i am worried that this is going to cause him long term damage.

The only thing i can think of that caused this sudden change is buying an Ackie Monitor, and his cage is on top of the beardies cage.
can this cause issues with the scents??

Torro is coming up to 6 months now, eats healthily, poos regularly, has good sheds... my female, much the same but with less hiding hasnt shed in 3 or so weeks, but is (as i say) healthy.

everything in their viv is spot on, right temps, correct Repti Glo tube.. everything is good for him.. just now worrying that it could be the Ackie monitor causing this!

If your using repti glo for your beardie that is the wrong uvb you need reptisun 10.0 tube length of your tank reptiglo is no good for beardies

I have the reptisun, as I say I just get confused easily. It runs the length of my viv.

Everything is in order with the viv, I have everything correct!

Please just help with the lazy beardie

An unbranded digital thermometer that I got from eBay, says it is accurate to 0.1f.

Soon to be getting zoomed digital thermometers for all my vivs.

I don't normally worry but it has only really been happening since I put the ackie in his viv on top of the beardies viv... Is this a likely possibility?

The fact that I have my 2 beardies in together for the time being makes me a little nervous too tbh. But this is due to change next week.

My female is fine, not hiding or anti social so I am sure it is something else :(

If the female is a bit larger or if she's acting dominant, that could be the reason Torro is hiding. So it's a good thing they'll be separated soon! :) You could try putting a divider in the viv for the time being, but then you'd need two basking spots and it could get pretty hot in there. Hmm.

Brian is smaller, she hasn't grown an inch in weeks.. torro is the larger of the 2 but not so over sized that its dangerous.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
