Am i missing some thing?

I've had my beardie for 3 months and he still hasn't shed once or grown. his appetite has been increasing a little lately, maybe eating 10 gut loaded crickets a day. I just bought him silk worms and he seems to love them so hopefully he starts getting a bit fatter. he's also been starting to be very black on the bottom . he is very active and alert i just don't understand why he isn't eating as much as the other baby beardies or growing as fast.

He looks pretty good and his appetite sounds reasonable. It may just be that his first real growth spurt is later than others which is OK. Keep up with the silks, they are a good option for him =).

As long as he has an appetite, the right UVB and UVA, there's is nothing to worry about

thanks for the replies but what explains him being so dark these past couple of days ?

They usually darken when they're trying to bask and absorb more heat/light.
