I've had my beardie for about 6 months now. He grew from almost 11 inches to 18 inches last time I measured him. He is in a 40 gallon Exoterra with tile flooring, a log on the cool side and a basking branch on the warm side. He has a MVB, UVA basking bulb, and regular heat light. On the warm side it's about 98-100 degrees and on the cool side it's in the 80's. He gets a warm bath every two days.
The process of him slowing down has gone on for a while. He went from hunting his crickets to no longer having intrest in them. He will occasionally eat some super worms, but he refuses to eat anything other than wax worms (he's offered supers, meal worms, wax worms, calci worms, crickets, and dubias). He refuses to eat his salads. His calcium level is low and so I put a special calcium mineral powder (mineral all from Sticky Tongue Farms) on his wax worms as of recently.
He gets bursts of energy but then he is still covered in stress marks. He wants to sleep all the time and shows very little to no interest in his food. Often he will lick his food and look quite hungry but then refuse to eat it. He will bask for some of the day but then go back to the cool side and lay on his log. He also moves his salad into his log and as far as I can tell doesn't eat it.
For a while I was feeding him baby food that he licked off my fingers. I will go back to that if I have to. He tested negative for parasites.
Thank you so much for your help
