So Fred has not really gone down in weight, size or activity, he's actually being more active lately, but he is almost not eating at all. he will eat 1 dubia, large, and thats it. i still offer them but they end up just hiding out in his cage. He may be eating them throughout the day, like as they move about, but like i said he hasn't been gaining or loosing weight. he doesn't eat greens, none at all. vet said he has no infections or any parasites but his food intake is super weird. anyone else ever have a situation like this? Fred is about 1 year old, male, lives alone, cage is set up correctly also. not worried about it cuz he still is active and alert but anyone ever have something like this? he eats maybe once a week... maybe...

It's common for them to go through cycles like that and have a phase of not eating as much as usual. I think it's especially common at around that age as their growth starts to really slow down. As long as he is alert and active and isn't losing weight I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep making food available (especially salads) and let him take what he needs.

sounds good, on that note... i got waaaaay to many roaches now haha, maybe i can donate some to local stores, i doubt they'll wanna buy them from me. always try and feed off your males first, then females if you're starting to have a roach overload... if you don't sort through them every month or two you'll soon be overpopulated... i kinda neglected them for a while and had an explosion, time for The Purge :angry5: ... bird population is gonna have a smorgousborg.

I have a ton of roaches too. I moved them to a larger tank but have also just turned off my CHE to lower the temps a bit. They don't breed as quickly in the lower cellar temps but still seem pretty content.

I never had them heated, live in southern california, they are in our garage. think im gonna get a plastic swimming pool and dump a few hundred in then place them on my roof, that should attract some birds quick enough!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
