Hey! I joined the forums about two months ago when I got my first baby bearded dragon, Budo. Unfortunately, Budo is no longer with us (check out the memorial in the Memorial area of the forums). On July 24th, I went and got a new baby bearded dragon named Moko (which is Tongan for Lizard, according to my Tongan friend from work). She (as far as I can tell, it's a she, but who knows other than her? ) was barely five inches long when I got her three weeks ago, and now she is about six inches long. I guess that means that she is doing well. She doesn't like to eat greens as much, but loves her crickets. I've also ordered silkies, butterworms, smaller hornworms, and phoenix worms for her. I'm working on the greens, fruits, and veggies. She is still very skittish whenever my hand goes by her, but I'm hoping she'll grow out of that. I'm not handling her much, cause I want to wait until she is atleast 8" long before I start handling her more. She now has a 60"Lx24"Wx24"T cage all to herself, and she loves to run around and climb and play and taste everything. I've got a Mercury Flood Lamp, Basking Lamp, and three ReptiSun 10.0 flourescent lamps in there for her, and she is on non-stick tile adhesive for substrate. The basking area of the cage is about 110 degrees farenheit, and the cooler end is around 85 degrees farenheit. I thught she'd be stressed in such a big cage, but she was much more stressed in the smaller cages. I built the cage for her myself. I'm proud. Anyway, I think that Moko and I are off to a great start. I'm putting up some pictures of her enclosure and of her. Tell me what you think! Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated.
