Okay - first, history. My dragon Pushkin was diagnosed with coccidia, but incorrectly weighed at 130 grams (he was 430 - the vet assistant didn't work the scale correctly, I didn't have a sense of how much he should be).
He was given .2ml doses, which didn't work (because of the wrong weight), so went back on for .4ml doses.
He's better!
Now my baby, who is about 14 inches and 170 grams, was also diagnosed with coccidia on Monday. I brought him in to get a new weight because they had 109 grams on file. Today, I picked up his doses, which were each .1ml. Thinking that it might be too low, I called them... sure enough, they wanted to change the dosage when they heard that his new weight hadn't been recorded, but they want to raise it to .9ml each day! That seems like a HUGE jump?
Does that sound right/okay to you? I hate to keep challenging the vet... I just don't want to hurt Narley!
