Air plants in your viv?

I know live plants are discouraged because they raise the humidity, but I was thinking maybe an air fern or two in Lucy's viv? She's not very adventurous inside her tank. (She mostly sticks on or under her log.)

I think air ferns (plants) are more native to their natural environment.
She's in a 55 gallon tank. She's an adult (about a year old, give or take). She's a total piggie, so it would have to be something non toxic, just in case.

As long as it is non toxic (since chances are good she will at least taste them if not eat them up entirely), I don't see any problems with that idea I ended up putting fake plants in my girl's tank because I couldn't find any live ones that would work for me.
